Street Maintenance - Summer 2023

Slurry Sealing

UPDATE 7.26.23 - The dates are set for certain streets to receive a slurry seal treatment. Please refer to the map linked below in the SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS to see if your street will be part of this year's scope and on which day you will be expected to make accommodations. Work is scheduled for 3 consecutive days, Monday-Wednesday August 7th-9th. On-street parking will be restricted and driveways will be unaccessible. Forming a plan to prepare for this interruption will be to your and the city's benefit.

The City crews will be focusing on streets in various locations throughout the city this summer, beginning in July. Operations will include sewer and storm system manhole repairs and asphalt crack sealing followed by slurry sealing. See the map included below for reference of which streets will be addressed this year.

Please expect delays and possible closures on your streets.  The crews on the street will be providing residents and drivers of more specific information regarding times of street closures, details and parking options.

For areas designated for slurry sealing, more specific information will be sent directly to you and a door hanger will be placed upon your property 48 hrs prior to the work being performed.  Please understand your options for parking your vehicle outside of the service area and plan for detours in and out of the neighborhood.

On-street parking will be restricted on scheduled days.  Vehicles that remain on the street on a scheduled day will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Questions regarding this scheduled street maintenance can be directed to Rich Sattler, Utilities Manager at 503.925.2319 between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

The City of Sherwood regrets and inconvenience these street improvements may cause and appreciates your patience during this time.
