Each year, thousands of people are killed in traffic-related accidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2012 there was a total of 34,080 deaths related to motor vehicle crashes. Red light cameras are one tool used by hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the country to modify driver behavior and make our roads safer.

In the City of Sherwood, we focus on making our roadways a safer place for us to drive. As such, the Municipal Court has established the Vehicle Compliance Program. This program offers you the opportunity to correct a vehicle equipment defect, prior to your court date, in exchange for dismissal of the cited violation.

To take advantage of this program, you MUST DO ALL of the following prior to your court date:

The City of Sherwood Municipal Court processes citations for Traffic Violations and certain other Non-Felony Offenses committed within the City.

For all offenses, if you want to appear before a Judge, you must appear at your scheduled arraignment on the Date and Time stated on the bottom of the Summons page.

Fine reductions are determined by the Judge or Court staff.  You can appear on the Court date shown on your citation OR contact Court staff prior to your Court date via telephone, email or by visiting the Court counter during regular business hours.
