If you’d like to make a park shelter reservation you may do so online, by clicking the yellow box below. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover for park shelter payments. Please note, in order to make your reservation you will need to either log in or create a profile with the reservation site. You may already have log in information if you have previously booked a class or activity with the Sherwood Center for the Arts. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Public Works Department at (503) 625-5722.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Your event might require a Special Event Permit.  Please click here to learn more. Alcohol, over 100 people in attendance, loud amplified noise, and impact on the community require a special event permit.

Rental fees are applicable for parks that have covered areas: Snyder Park, Stella Olsen Park, Pioneer Park, Murdock Park, and Woodhaven Park.

We offer 3 different blocks of time on each day; 8am to noon, 12:30 to 4:30, and 5pm to close.  Rates are as follows and please note that different park shelters are offered at different rates:

Park Rules

  • Parks are open from Dawn Till Dusk
  • Only gas grills allowed – no charcoal grills
  • Dogs off leash prohibited
  • Scoop and pick up after your pets
  • Intoxicating liquor prohibited
  • Vandalism to any public facility or property prohibited
  • Firearms or fireworks prohibited
  • Smoking or use of tobacco of any kind is prohibited
  • No motor vehicles
  • Emergencies call 911

Special Event Permit Application and Forms

Submit your completed application, the Special Event Permit fee, and Certificate of Insurance to the address below.  Please note that depending on your event details, you may be required to apply for additional permits, licenses and requests in order for your Special Event Permit to be approved.
