Q: When will you fix the potholes/signs on my street?
A: Contact us with a particular problem area and we will schedule the work. Q: The traffic signal is malfunctioning or the timing seems to be off.  Who can I report this to?
A: The traffic signal engineers at Washington County study and determine the timing patters for the traffic signals.  Please click here to visit the Traffic Engineering division for more information and to submit a complaint/comment.

Q: Is blowing my grass or leaves into the street bad for water quality?
A: Yes. Grass and leaves blown into the street are washed away by storm water runoff into the storm water system. This storm water drains into local waterways, which create higher nitrogen levels and lower oxygen levels that can lead to dead fish and excessive algae growth.  Only during the Curbside Leaf Pick-up Program in the fall do we advocate pushing yard debris into the street.

Q: What is my water pressure?
A: It depends. We can make a physical reading at the nearest fire hydrant to ensure the most exact reading possible. Contact the Water Department to request this service. 503.625.5722

Q: I got a door hanger notice about a possible water leak.  What does that mean?
A: The City reads your meter once a month.  If the meter reader notices a significant increase in water usage based upon your previous months he will leave you a message on your door.  You can learn how to check for a leak at the by clicking here.  Please call 503.625.5722 if you have any other questions.

Q: Is my drinking water safe?
