The Engineering Department plans, designs, and oversees construction of the City’s public infrastructure. These Capital Improvement Projects (CIP’s) include streets, storm and sanitary sewer systems, waterlines and park projects. The Engineering Department provides technical review services to the Planning Department on private development projects and the planning approval process. The Department works closely with the Parks Advisory Board in setting priorities and identifying issues on park projects. The Engineering Department is also responsible for overseeing right-of-way permitting and public infrastructure mapping and GIS.
