Welcome to the Cedar Creek Trail System

Segment A: Stella Olsen Park to SW Pacific Hwy @ Meinecke Pkwy (OPEN TO PUBLIC) Map

Segment B: SW Pacific Hwy to SW Edy Rd (deemed feasible; design phase pending)

Segment C: SW Edy Rd to SW Roy Rogers Rd (deemed feasible; design phase pending)

Overall Description:

The Cedar Creek Trail is comprised of three primary segments of the regional trail system that run off-street between Old Town, Stella Olsen Park, SW Pacific Highway, SW Edy Rd and SW Roy Rogers Rd via the Cedar Creek greenway corridor. The trail segments that extend beyond these areas utilize existing on-street sidewalks and pathways to complete the regional trail system through the City. The Cedar Creek Trail comprises a good portion of the West Fork of the Ice Age Tonquin Regional Trail System.

The trail segments southeast of Old Town will be constructed as part of the SW Oregon St Improvements Project (between Langer Farms Parkway and the Murdock Rd roundabout) and with development of the Tonquin Employment Area to ultimately connect with neighboring cities to the east and southeast.

The trail segment between Stella Olsen Park and SW Pacific Hwy @ Meinecke Pkwy is currently under construction. The current construction project is being managed by ODOT due to it being federally funded (FHWA-CMAQ). Please visit the CCT construction website here for the most up-to-date information on the current activity.

The preferred alignments for the two trail segments north of SW Pacific Hwy can be reviewed under the Supporting Documents section below (4 pdf exhibits: Project Prospectus, Preferred Alignment, Property Access, and Natural Resources).

In addition to the segments of trail currently under construction or that have been deemed feasible to construct once funds are available, the City is confirming via a separate study & design project this fall, the location and approximate cost to build a cut-n-cover style tunnel under the highway, which current cost estimates predict will exceed $10M. The highway undercrossing project is listed as a long-term, unfunded project in the CIP plan.
