The Sherwood Budget Committee is currently accepting applications for one position. Applications will be accepted for this position until 5:00 pm on April 1, 2015. Applicants must be Sherwood residents who are registered voters and have an interest in the fiscal management of the City. The Sherwood Budget Committee meets periodically throughout the year and in April and May to review the annual City Budget.

Sherwood Receives Financial Reporting Achievement Award!
For the second year in a row, the City of Sherwood has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for FY2013. This certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

The Mission of the Finance Department is to provide the finest in financial information, projections, and support services to the City staff, its Council and external users in support of their decision making processes.
After an executive session with City Council on March 18, 2014 the City is releasing the outside review of the YMCA contract. The Council will discuss the results and next steps at their next regular meeting on April 1, 2014.
