National Library Week Open House

Friday, April 12, 2024 - 10:00amJoin us on Friday, April 12, for cake and refreshments, prizes, and fun activities for all ages!
- Play life-sized Memory, hopscotch, and other games, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Technology petting zoo from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (with VR headsets) and 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. (with Nintendo Wii).
- Tours of the library at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- Look for “golden tickets” hidden in the library. Bring it to staff to claim a $25 Target gift card. We are hiding 5 tickets in total at various times during the day.
- Stop by various stations in the library to learn about the new Sherwood Library Foundation, play “I Spy” with Sherwood history motifs in the painting in memory of Virginia Hite, and share your ideas about the library. Fill up your “idea card” and be entered in a raffle giving away fifteen $10 gift cards to Starbucks.
At Sherwood Public Library, we invite all community members to visit the library during National Library Week, April 7-13, to explore all we have to offer.
National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April since 1958.
