Why Sherwood?
Sherwood is a dynamic place to do business.
Sherwood business owners report that the City’s primary strengths as a place to do business are its location, the growth potential of the area, and the diverse and healthy local economic base. We agree and invite you to learn more about our city!
Developable land in Sherwood is plentiful and the city is actively pursuing responsible growth. The verdant natural features of the community, including the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, offer a stunning backdrop to your development plans, and with strong partnerships built to support and develop scholastic opportunities, Sherwood can offer an educated and well-trained workforce. Our steadily growing city is situated along Highway 99W, making it well-positioned to become the Gateway to Wine Country and a destination for wine tourism. The Economic Development Department is working to understand the needs of entrepreneurs, business-owners and developers, and as funds permit, plans to develop valuable and customized programs to serve these needs. The City also plans to reexamine our development fees in order to ensure that Sherwood stays competitive within the region, and revamp our permitting process to make your experience with the city as efficient as possible.
