This project involves a realignment of an existing crosswalk, updating ADA ramps, installation of school and speed feedback signs, enhanced street lighting, and adding a Pedestrian Hybrid beacon.
PROJECT UPDATE (12/4/2025):
Due to weather, the remaining concrete work on the north side of Sunset is scheduled to be poured on the week of December 8th to December 12th.
PROJECT UPDATE (11/26/2025):
SW Timbrel Lane will be closed between SW MIddleton Road and SW Sunset Road between 10am to 1pm today, Wednesday November 26. The contractor will be preparing the area for the extended weekend and upcoming Give n’ Gobble run. The northern sidewalk is currently removed but there will be a clear gravel pathway maintained on the north side with temporary ramps. The crosswalk across Sunset will be opened for the weekend until they complete the remaining concrete work on the north.
PROJECT UPDATE (11/21/2025):
SW Timbrel Lane will be closed between SW Middleton Road and SW Sunset Road between 9am to 3pm on Friday, November 21st and between 9am to 1pm on Monday, November 24th in order for curb ramps to be poured without impeding traffic on SW Sunset Blvd and 99W. PROJECT UPDATE (11/06/2025):
Construction for this project was paused to accommodate the delivery of the pedestrian signal equipment. Construction resumed this week for the signal pole foundations. Curb ramps are scheduled to be removed and replaced in November, pending weather conditions. Curb ramp construction is not anticipated to impact school drop off or pickup.
The pedestrian signal poles and equipment will be installed in January 2026 and commissioned in February 2026. Please check this site for construction updates and detour maps. The project is scheduled for completion in February 2026.
