SW Sunset Blvd (Main to Cinnamon Hill) Pavement Rehabilitation
The City uses a Pavement Management System which evaluates the condition of our roadways. This year, SW Sunset Blvd from SW Main St to SW Cinnamon Hills Pl has been identified to undergo rehabilitation by placement of a new asphalt pavement surface.
Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2025 with completion early Winter 2025.
Due to the nature of the work, please anticipate some access delays during construction. It will be part of the contractor’s work to inform adjacent residents and businesses of the work schedule. The attached map shows the approximate limits of construction.
Please note that a future notice will be sent out with more details concerning this project.
PROJECT UPDATE (10/08/2025):
On paving days, the intersection at SW Sunset Blvd and SW Main St/SW Ladd Hill Rd will be temporarily closed for approximately 30 minutes, twice a day for intersection paving work. Paving days are tentatively scheduled for 10/28/2025 and 10/29/2025, pending weather conditions. The closure will take place outside of Archer Glen Elementary School drop off and pick up times. Please see the attached detour plan during the temporary closure times. It will be part of the contractor’s work to inform adjacent residents and businesses of the work schedule.
Please note that a future notice and social media post with defined dates will be sent out concerning the detouring of this project.
We appreciate your patience during the construction period. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Sofi Lam, P.E., at (503) 925-2303 or lams@sherwoodoregon.gov.
