Latest studies show that library users are reading more than ever, both old-fashioned books and electronic materials.  From digitized graphic novels to old paperback classics, we want to know how you're finding great new titles.  Sharing with your Facebook friends, Tweeting about a crazy plot twist to entice your followers?

We know our patrons are pretty savvy, and they have a voracious appetite for great new books.  To satisfying the bibliophile craving, we want to ask:

How do you discover new books?

Allow us to share some of our favorite resources!
• Do you know about Library2Go, the statewide electronic materials service featuring downloadable books, movies, and audiobooks to your Kindle, Nook, iPad and a host of other devices?
• Read all the books by your favorite author and ready for more?  Discover new authors, similar plots, and familiar characters by exploring NovelistPlus, the online database available to WCCLS library card holders.  It's chock-full of great ways to search.  Thought the "Hunger Games" series was great?  Type in the title in the search box to find title read-alikes, series read-alikes, and more!
• Why not check out the New York Times latest Bestseller List?  Find award-winning titles at the American Library Association.
• Find out what your friends are reading, check out reviews, and form your own book club at Goodreads!
• Share your library with others, even keep track of books you lend out using LibraryThing or Shelfari.
• And just for teens, there's TeenReads, featuring the latest and greatest in YA titles.  Check out their contests and ultimate reading list for even more.
• Check out StorySnoops for younger readers--filter by age, interest, gender, reading level, and beyond.

Gotta have something now?  Can't wait for a hold?  Come check out the new Friends of the Library expanded selection near the checkout desk at the Sherwood Library!

Why not start your own book club?  Just search "Book Club Kit" in the library catalog for a list of over 200 kits containing enough copies for a whole group, plus discussion guides, DVDs and more!
