Adventure Pass Program

Adventure Pass [formerly Cultural Pass to Adventure] program offers library users the opportunity to expand their experience of the library beyond the walls of our buildings into the community and beyond. Your library card is your passport to visiting different and exciting locations in Oregon.

Adventure Pass at the Sherwood Public Library

The Sherwood Public Library, along with all the Washington County Libraries, offers at least one pass to every venue in the program. Each pass provides free admission to the destination of your choice for varying numbers of guests. 

How do I check out a Cultural Pass?

  • Go to https://adventurepass.wccls.org
  • Search by date if you know WHEN you want to go.
  • Search by destination name if you know WHERE you want to go.
  • Reserve your Admission Pass, then print it when you're ready to go.
  • Cancel your reservation (if you have not yet printed the pass) under "My Reservations" in the Adventure Pass reservation software.

Borrowing Rules

  • You may reserve one Admission Pass per destination each calendar year. You may have two active reservations at one time, but they must be to different destinations.
  • Borrowers must be 18 years of age or older, and have a date of birth listed in their library account.
  • Valid ID that matches the name of the person on the reservation is required for redemption of the Admission Pass at the destination.
  • Admission Pass is for redemption only by the person named and only on the date specified.
  • Unauthorized duplication or transfer of your Admission Pass will prevent your admittance to the destination.
  • Admission Passes can only be canceled if they have not yet been printed.
  • Reservations can be made up to three calendar months in advance of date of use. On the first of each month, new Admission Pass dates become available.
  • Passes are not intended for repeated use by the same individual or family.

Rice NW Museum of Rocks & Minerals

Rice NW Museum of Rocks & Minerals

The Rice Museum is the premier collection of rocks and minerals in the Pacific Northwest and a top destination for earth science education for individuals of all ages. The museum collection is home to thousands of natural mineral specimens from around the world, including one of the finest rhodochrosite specimens in the world, and a collection of lapidary arts. The Rice Museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and is set in the historic ranch-style home of Richard & Helen Rice. Completed in 1953, the house is set on 23 acres in Hillsboro.

The Pass admits two individuals. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Not valid during special events and programs.

Lan Su Chinese Garden

Lan Su Chinese Garden

The Garden of Awakening Orchids, Portland's Lan Su Chinese Garden is located in the heart of the city in Chinatown. It has been called the most exquisite, authentic Suzhou-style garden ever built outside China.

The Pass admits two adults and two children under the age of 18 to visit the garden.

Pittock Mansion

Every house tells a story. This one tells Portland’s. Built in 1914, Pittock Mansion is full of rich history and remarkable stories of one of Portland’s first and most influential families. With panoramic views of mountains, river, forests, and downtown, Pittock Mansion is the perfect place to learn about Portland’s transformation from small “stumptown” to bustling modern city. Explore Pittock Mansion’s 23 rooms and play with a vintage stereoscope, hear period music, and see dozens of historic photos of the Pittock family and the city of Portland – all in a 100-year-old family home 1,000 feet above the city!

OREGON GARDEN

The Oregon Garden is an 80-acre botanical garden, featuring more than 20 specialty gardens showcasing the diverse botanical beauty found in the Willamette Valley and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Pass admits two adults and up to four children into the Oregon Garden.
