CONSTRUCTION UPDATE (May 1st, 2026)
Expect delays at the Sunset-Timbrel intersection Monday, May 4th through Thursday, May 7th between 8:30am and 2pm.  Work will stop early on Wednesday, May 6th to accommodate early release at Middleton Elementary.  During this time the  City’s contractor will be installing the pedestrian signal, streetlights, and speed radar feedback signs and require lanes of traffic to be blocked for 10-20 minutes during this timeframe.  Traffic control flaggers will be on site to help manage traffic through the work zone.

Use alternate routes and please try to avoid this intersection on May 4th through Thursday, May 7th between 8:30am and 2pm.  There will be no permanent road closures, and the work will not impact school drop off or pickup.

The City anticipates having the new pedestrian signal turned on and fully operational the week of May 18th to 22nd.  More information about the type of pedestrian signal being installed by this project can be found directly below.
