Your Water

The primary source for water in Sherwood comes from the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant (WRWTP).

During the 1990’s pilot tests were conducted in Wilsonville using conventional treatment methods.

Safe, reliable drinking water is a basic life necessity.  We think it is important for our customers to understand where their water comes from, how safe it is, and what actions we take to ensure its continuing safety.

Were you recently notified of a potential water leak? Or do you suspect you may have one?  Read through our leak guide to learn what steps to take next.

Customers who have cross connections are responsible for preventing contaminants from entering the public water system through their individual plumbing system by installing and maintaining approved backflow prevention assemblies.

Knowing how to read your water meter could aid you in detecting a water leak inside the home.  It’s easy…in fact, we read your meter 12 times a year.

Although water main breaks are rare, they do occur from time to time. When they do happen, we immediately send our crews out to the leak and work until the leak is fixed.  Water service may be interrupted.
