Elections
The City of Sherwood held a special emergency election on January 13, 2026, to present to Sherwood voters two ballot measures, Ballot Measure 34-347 and Ballot Measure 34-348 proposing amendments to the City’s Charter. See the October 28, 2025, City Council meeting materials for background information.
The city has received the certified election results as conducted by Washington County Elections Office, and at the City Council February 17, 2026, meeting adopted the certified election results via Resolution 2026-009. Upon adopting the certified results, the Sherwood City Charter has been amended via Resolution 2026-010 reflecting the Sherwood voter approved ballot measures.

Eligibility
To be eligible to serve on the Sherwood City Council, candidates must be a Sherwood resident for one year at the time of election and must be a registered voter. To qualify for the ballot, a candidate can either submit a preapproved petition or can file by paying a $10 filing fee.
