The City Council held a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, to consider calling for a special election in January 2026 to submit two proposed Sherwood City Charter amendments to the voters. Pursuant to ORS 250.296 any voter may file a petition for review of the ballot title not later than the seventh business day after the title has been filed with the city elections officer. A challenge to the ballot title in this notice must be filed in Washington County Circuit Court not later than November 7, 2025. Filing a copy of the challenge with the City Recorder pursuant to SMC 2.04.041 may be accomplished electronically by emailing CityRecorder@sherwoodoregon.gov, or by mailing or delivering to: Sherwood City Hall, 22560 SW Pine Street, Sherwood, Oregon 97140, Attn: City Recorder.

Eligibility

To be eligible to serve on the Sherwood City Council, candidates must be a Sherwood resident for one year at the time of election and must be a registered voter. To qualify for the ballot, a candidate can either submit a preapproved petition or can file by paying a $10 filing fee.

A drive-up Washington County Elections ballot box is located at Sherwood City Hall at 22560 SW Pine Street, on the east end of the parking lot.
