What if my ticket was for 56 MPH or more?
March 7, 2025Citations issued for traveling 56 MPH or higher are still valid as they violate the designated speed limit by 11 MPH or more. You or your lawyer may argue your case to the Court in the normal course. The Court may amend the citation to correct the classification (for example, Class B to Class C), which could lower the amount of the fine. Upon conviction, these fines must be paid. Those who have already paid a higher fine may be refunded the difference.
