Municipal Court
Overview
The City of Sherwood Municipal Court processes citations for Traffic Violations and certain other Non-Felony Offenses committed within the City. The mission of the municipal court is to promote compliance with laws and regulations by processing citations for violations equitably and timely.
The court counter is located on the 2nd floor of city hall.

What are your hours?
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
What are my court appearance options?
For all offenses, if you want to appear before a Judge, you must appear at your scheduled arraignment on the Date and Time stated on the bottom of the Summons page.
You may also appear at the Court Offices, located at City Hall, prior to this date. If you decide to plead guilty or no contest by mail, you may also submit written explanation, however, you must submit the full base fine for each violation listed on your citation. Please attach your citation or include the citation number on your check or money order.
Can I just pay my citation over the phone?
We do not accept payments over the phone. Citations may be paid by mail, online at www.citepayusa.com or at the Court counter during regular business hours.
Can I set up a payment plan?
Yes. Payment plans can be set up on your Court date after you’ve appeared before the Judge. You can also visit the Court counter during regular business hours prior to your Court date and speak with Court staff. Please note that fines not paid within 30 days are subject to a one-time fee of 25% of the unpaid balance.
Do I need to come to court to have my citation dismissed?
No. The municipal court judge has signed an order dismissing citations that meet the description above. You do not need to appear in court for your ticket to be dismissed.
I can’t come in person. What are my options?

I cannot appear on my Court date. Can I reschedule?
Requests to reset your Court date will be honored one time only and must be received at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled hearing. Please contact Court staff via telephone, email or by visiting the Court counter during regular business hours to request a new Court date.
Am I eligible for a fine reduction?
Fine reductions are determined by the Judge or Court staff. You can appear on the Court date shown on your citation OR contact Court staff prior to your Court date via telephone, email or by visiting the Court counter during regular business hours.
Am I eligible for Traffic School?
For consideration or to determine eligibility for the Court’s diversion program, you can appear on the court date shown on your citation OR contact Court staff prior to your Court date via telephone, email or by visiting the Court counter during regular business hours.
I have been notified that my case has been sent to collections. What do I do now?
If your case has been referred to collections, the court can no longer resolve your case. Please contact Fidelity Collections at (503) 597-0239.
I have been notified that my license will be/has been suspended. What do I need to do?
If your license is scheduled to be or has been suspended, all fines and fees must be paid in full to the Court before a clearance/reinstatement can be issued.
I have completed Traffic School. Where should I send my Certificate of Completion?
You do NOT need to send us proof you completed the class. CLS will notify us directly.
