Friends of the Library
Friends of Sherwood Public Library is a volunteer-run non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1975 to provide materials, equipment, and services for the library beyond the reach of the library’s regular budget.
The Friends generate funds through donations, the ongoing book sale, memberships, and merchandise for sale. More information about the Friends, including donations, can be found at www.sherwoodfol.org.

The Friends typically give $4,500-$6,000 annually for Sherwood Public Library programming. Recent programs made possible by the Friends include: Summer Reading, Book Buddies (the book group for Kindergarten-2nd graders), Paperback Pals (the book group for 3rd-5th graders), Fiction Friends (the book group for 6th-8th graders), Teen Book Club, Adult Book Discussion Group, and more.
Friends of the Library board meetings are held quarterly at the Library / City Hall.
