Planning Commission
Overview
The Commission consists of seven volunteer members appointed to a four-year term. Commissioners must be Sherwood residents or reside within the Urban Growth Boundary. The Commission reviews development applications based on the review and understanding of the Sherwood Zoning and Development Code criteria.
Oregon Revised Statutes 244.050 requires certain city officials to file an annual Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) with the Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC) by April 15 of each year. Officials who are required to file include the Mayor, City Councilors, Planning Commissioners, City Manager, and Municipal Court Judge. Public officials who fail to file their SEI in a timely manner could be liable for a civil penalty of up to $5,000 and/or suspension from performing their official duties.
