Elections
The City of Sherwood will be holding a special emergency election on January 13, 2026, to present to Sherwood voters two ballot measures, Ballot Measure 34-347 and Ballot Measure 34-348 proposing amendments to the City’s Charter. See the October 28, 2025, City Council meeting materials for background information.
This election will be conducted by Washington County Elections Office and ballots will be mailed to Sherwood voters on December 24, 2025 (20 days before the election date, per statute). Due to the minimal size of the voters’ pamphlet, it will be inserted in the envelope along with the ballot and ballot return envelope.

Eligibility
To be eligible to serve on the Sherwood City Council, candidates must be a Sherwood resident for one year at the time of election and must be a registered voter. To qualify for the ballot, a candidate can either submit a preapproved petition or can file by paying a $10 filing fee.

A drive-up Washington County Elections ballot box is located at Sherwood City Hall at 22560 SW Pine Street, on the east end of the parking lot.
