Welcome to Records
The City of Sherwood complies with Oregon Public Records Law which allows the right to inspect public records of a public body (unless exempt from disclosure).
Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) Chapter 192, contains laws pertaining to public records, and can be found on the State of Oregon’s website. See sections below that includes information to answer our most frequently asked questions:
192.410…..Definitions.
192.420…..Right to inspect public records ;notice to public body attorney.
192.440…..Copies or inspection of public records; fees; waiver or reduction and procedure for requests.
192.445…..Nondisclosure and when not applicable.
192.501…..Public records exempt from disclosure.
The City of Sherwood requires a Records Request form be submitted when requesting copies of public records or when viewing public records. The Records Request Form is available here or by calling the City Recorder at (503) 625-4246. For Police Reports, please fill out a Police Report records request form.
Marriage License Information, Death, Birth and Divorce Certificates and Property Tax information records are maintained by Washington County.

Below is a quick-start guide for conducting searches in WebDrawer.
IMPORTANT: A record must be downloaded from the WebDrawer website in order to perform a full-text search on the document.
SEARCH TYPE | DESCRIPTION |
Title Word | Most recommended –Will search any word in the Title field for a record. |
Document Content | Recommended – Will search entire document content. Expect a longer search time to return results. |
Any Word | Searches any word in either the Title field or the Notes field. |
Date Created | Not recommended as it is subjective to document entry into WebDrawer. |
Record Number | Not recommended. |
Title (free text part) | This search is an exact match search of the Title field for a record. Not recommended unless you have the exact title. |
Meeting Date | Meeting date is already included in the titles for Council and Boards. Use Title Word Search. |
Wildcard * | The use of a Wildcard * in searching will broaden your search. For example, “Ord*” will return Ordinance, Ordinances, ORD, ordinary, order, etc. |
