Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service through which you request materials not owned by libraries in Washington County, but may be borrowed from other libraries.
Request an Interlibrary Loan:
1) Online at wccls.org/ill — Request via the form at the bottom of that page or the FirstSearch website
2) Email askusSPL@sherwoodoregon.gov
3) Call 503-625-6688
Things to know:
- Please allow a few weeks for processing and mailing. You will be notified when your item is available for check out.
- You may request a renewal for Interlibrary Loans by filling out the form at wccls.org around 7 days before the item is due. Renewals must be approved by the item’s owning library and are not guaranteed.
- If you need to cancel a request, or have questions about a canceled request, please contact ILL staff.
- Limit of five active ILLs per person. Items currently checked out to you count toward the limit of five.
- Loan periods for materials will be the standard three weeks.
- Console video games (Wii, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.), e-books, and e-audiobooks are not available through interlibrary loan.
- Requests for materials published in the current calendar year should be submitted as purchase suggestions.
- Interlibrary Loan materials can now be returned to any WCCLS library.
- Optional: you may create an account in FirstSearch to show a list of your requests as soon as you submit them. Within FirstSearch/WorldCat, click on the ‘Patron Resource Sharing’ tab and register using your WCCLS library barcode (the number beginning with 2361…) as your username.
