Chief of Police

Chief Hanlon has over 31 years of law enforcement experience and has been employed with the Sherwood Police Department for over 16 years. Chief Hanlon is responsible for planning, directing, and leading the activities of the police department. He assumes management responsibility for all police services including enforcement of laws, statutes, ordinances, crime prevention, criminal investigation, emergency response, and any other law enforcement related activity.

Captain Corey Jentzsch
Patrol Division

Captain Jentzsch has been employed with the Sherwood Police Department since 1997. Captain Jentzsch oversees the Patrol Division which includes Police Officers, Sergeants, and Reserve Police Officers. He oversees the agency’s K9 Program, Traffic Unit, Reserve Officer Program, Mental Health Response Team, and Field Training Officer Program.

Administrative & Investigations Division

Captain Powell has been employed by the Sherwood Police Department since 2001. Captain Powell oversees the Investigations Division, School Resource Officers, Evidence, Chaplains, Community Outreach, Logistics, Emergency Management, Code Compliance, and Volunteers.
