Sherwood Police Department to Host 18th Annual 9/11 Commemorative Blood Drive
September 8, 2026The Sherwood Police Department is once again partnering with the American Red Cross to host its 18th Annual 9/11 Commemorative Blood Drive on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8am to 5pm.
The annual blood drive honors the lives lost and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001, while helping provide lifesaving blood to patients in need.
Community members can make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting redcrossblood.org and using sponsor code SherwoodPD.
Want to maximize your donation? If you are an eligible O positive, O negative, B negative or A negative donor, consider making a Power Red donation. Power Red donations collect concentrated red blood cells, which are the most commonly transfused blood component, allowing one donation to potentially help multiple patients.
