Feasibility Study for Sherwood Recreation and Aquatic Center Released
January 31, 2017In preparation for a City Council work session on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 6:00 pm, the Feasibility Study for the Sherwood Recreation and Aquatic Center is now available (see link below). This study was identified as a City Council goal in 2016 and the City hired the firm of Ballard*King and Associates in August 2016 to complete the study.
This study is an important step toward assisting the City of Sherwood in making a decision about the future operations of the city-owned recreation and aquatic center currently operated by the YMCA of the Columbia-Willamette. The operating agreement with the YMCA expires in 2018, but there is a clause in the agreement that requires each party to provide notice on or before October 31, 2017 about intent to continue the agreement.
Welcome to the City of Sherwood’s Notification System, the city’s latest tool for providing residents with immediate information and warnings on water contamination, extreme weather warnings, unexpected road closures, etc. This is a free service provided by the City of Sherwood.
