AI can create photos, videos, and stories that look real but aren’t, so how do you know what’s real online anymore? Learn how these tricks work, why they spread so quickly, and practice spotting the signs of misinformation before it fools you. This session will help you sharpen your skills to recognize misleading content, understand how deepfakes are made, and learn practical strategies for separating fact from fiction in your daily digital life.

Registration is encouraged, but not required.

Presenter Bio:

Crystal Trice has over 20 years of experience in libraries and education and is the founder of Scissors & Glue, LLC. She leads interactive trainings and workshops on topics ranging from project management to artificial intelligence, helping libraries and schools spark positive change. Based near Portland, Oregon, Crystal enjoys life with her husband, a small menagerie of farm animals, and an endless supply of sticky notes and colorful pens.
