What happens if I do not test a backflow assembly that I have received a notification to test?
April 3, 2025If for some reason you do not test your backflow assembly, there are two options:
- If the assembly being required to be tested is a plumbing code assembly, the City of Sherwood may require you to install, test and maintain a backflow assembly behind the water meter to protect the public water system. Fees will be applied.
- Your water service may be terminated to protect the public water system.
Welcome to the City of Sherwood’s Notification System, the city’s latest tool for providing residents with immediate information and warnings on water contamination, extreme weather warnings, unexpected road closures, etc. This is a free service provided by the City of Sherwood.
