Low Income/Harship Assistance

Overview

The City of Sherwood offers financial assistance to qualifying utility customers. Funding is limited and assistance is available on a first come, first serve basis. Customers are eligible to receive assistance up to one time per year. Qualifying customers will receive a one-time credit on their bill. We offer two different types of assistance to choose from to apply for: low income assistance and hardship assistance. Low income assistance is strictly based on meeting the income guidelines defined below. Hardship assistance eligibility takes into account if you are going through something that is temporarily making it more difficult to pay your bill, and it has a less strict income requirement.

If you have any questions about our assistance program and which one you would like to apply for, please call our office at (503) 925-2315.
