Library Advisory Board

The Library Advisory Board is appointed by the City Council. The Board advises the Council and Library staff on Library policies and planning. Nine citizen members are appointed to four-year terms. Eight of the members must be residents of the City of Sherwood, and one member must be a non-resident of the City of Sherwood but a resident of both Washington County and the Sherwood Public Library service area. One position is a dedicated high-school student representative.

Meetings:

Board meetings are held at City Hall, 22560 SW Pine Street, Sherwood, Oregon, with virtual options available. Contact Library Manager, Adrienne Doman Calkins, for details.

Citizen Comments

Citizen comments may be provided in person, in writing, or by telephone. In-person comments may be made during the dedicated time on the agenda. Written comments must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting start time by email to Library Manager, Adrienne Doman Calkins, and must clearly state that it is intended as a general Citizen Comment for this meeting. To provide comment by phone during the live meeting, please email Adrienne Doman Calkins, or call 503-625-4272 at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting start time in order to receive dial-in instructions. Per Council Rules Ch. 2 Section (V)(D)(5), Citizen Comments, “Speakers shall identify themselves by their name and by their city of residence.” Anonymous comments will not be accepted into the meeting record.

To request ADA accommodations, 48 hours advance notice is appreciated for significant arrangements.

Interpretation Services: Free language interpretation is available through Washington County Cooperative Library Services in twenty different languages.
