Tech Help Appointments
Need help with technology?
Library staff can often provide basic tech assistance in the library or by phone at the point of need. For more in-depth or complicated topics, we recommend a Tech Help Appointment.
Tech Help Appointments can be up to 60 minutes long, up to twice a month. Sometimes it only takes us 15 minutes to solve a problem. We can work together on our public computers or on your own laptop, device, or e-reader.

Make an appointment for:
- Android and iPhone troubleshooting
- Setting up a new device (subject to limitations)
- Intermediate assistance with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other common software
- Creating email accounts or social media accounts
- Advanced e-book and audiobook settings
- Advanced Kanopy streaming video troubleshooting
- Using library resources or online research methods
- Using the library’s content creation station for image, video, and sound editing
- To troubleshoot 3D printing files for our 3D printing services
Sorry, we cannot assist with:
- Computer viruses
- Hardware performance issues or maintenance
- Entering sensitive information for you (credit card info, social security, banking, etc.)
- Extensive document formatting
- Proofreading documents
- Providing tax, legal, medical, or business advice
