Municipal Code Amendments related to Recreational Marijuana Businesses including Sherwood’s Zoning and Community Development Code

The Sherwood Municipal Code is amended to reflect City ballot measure 34-299 approved by the voters in November 2020.

The amendments include the following:

  • Imposes a tax of three percent on the retail sale price of marijuana items by a recreational marijuana retailer in the area subject to the jurisdiction of the city.
  • Updated definitions of Recreational Marijuana Businesses.
  • Approval process, general standards for Recreational Marijuana Businesses, and specific standards for recreational marijuana retail sales facilities.
