Kitchen Volunteering

Make a difference in your community at the Marjorie Stewart Community Center! When you donate your time, talents and skills, you support and enhance the Senior Center's programs, services and mission. You also give the Senior Center the ability to stretch tax dollars and improve the lives of our citizens.

  • What volunteer jobs are available?

We have volunteers help in the kitchen, front desk, leading classes, etc. Have another idea for how you can help? Contact the Volunteer Coordinator.

  • What time commitment is expected of me as a Senior Center Volunteer?

The time commitment for volunteers vary depending on the position.  Shifts range from 1-4 hours once per week for the duration of at least three months.

  • Do I have to have a set schedule?

Shift schedules can be flexible, however, they do need to be consistent. Paid staff need to know when to expect volunteer help.

  • How old do I need to be before I can volunteer?

Generally, applicants who are 16 years of age will be considered for Senior Center volunteer positions.  However there are exceptions.  Contact the Volunteer Coordinator to find out what might be available.

  • I am interested in volunteering! What do I do next?

Apply online here. When a position is available, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview and see what position might be a good fit for you.
