Application Process
APPLICATION PROCESS
You can now apply online! If this is the first time you are applying using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening. Some positions may require additional materials; if additional materials or information is required it will be noted and requested in the job announcement.
SELECTION PROCESS
The City of Sherwood reviews all applications submitted by the closing date for advertised openings. All applications are reviewed and successful candidates are selected based on the applicants' relevant knowledge, skills and abilities. Those selected for further consideration will be invited to an oral interview. Prior to hiring, the successful candidate may be asked to complete a satisfactory pre-employment criminal history background investigation and drug test.
