Senior Health Insurance Benefits Counceling

In-person Washington County Senior Health Insurance Benefits (SHIBA) counselors are at the Marjorie Stewart Senior Community Center to help those on or new to Medicare make informed choices about benefit plan options. Counselors are highly trained and certified volunteers who will work with you to review plan options, including Advantage Plans, Medigap supplemental insurance policies, and prescription drug plans. They can also assist in understanding a bill or fee charges, help file a grievance or appeal for a change, explain timelines, and ensure you are receiving all possible benefits you may be eligible for.
