Parent Cafe - NAMI Washington County
Calendar Date:
Saturday, March 9, 2024 - 12:00pm to 2:30pmRegister here: https://bit.ly/SherwoodCafe
Are you a parent or caregiver, looking to connect with other parents/caregivers in a welcoming space?
Parent Cafés are physically and emotionally safe spaces where people talk and listen to each other on topics that matter to them, such as the challenges and victories of raising a family, navigating landscapes of inequality, enhancing well-being, or being involved in the recovery process of someone they love. Through individual deep self-reflection and peer-to-peer learning, participants explore their strengths, learn about the Protective Factors, and create strategies from their own wisdom and experiences to strengthen their families.
You will leave this Café feeling inspired, energized, and excited to put into practice what you've learned.
Parent Cafés are based on the Protective Factors Framework. You'll learn about each of the 5 protective factors at the event, including: parental resilience, social connections, concrete support in times of need, knowledge of parenting and child development, and social and emotional competence of children.
Snacks and light refreshments will be provided!
Childcare is provided for children over 12 months. If you have an infant, you are welcome to bring them and have them with you for the event.
Made possible with the support of the Washington County Department of Health and Human Services.
