Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is appointed by the City Council. The Commission reviews development applications and planning objectives based on an understanding of the Sherwood Zoning and Development Code, Comprehensive Plan and established criteria and serves as the Hearing Authority for site plans of new or existing structures in the Old Town Overlay District, quasi-judicial actions not otherwise assigned to a Hearing Authority under the code, site plans greater than 40,000 square feet of floor area, parking or seating capacity, and subdivisions over 50 lots in size.

Officials who are required to file include the Mayor, City Councilors, Planning Commissioners, City Manager, and Municipal Court Judge. Public officials who fail to file their SEI in a timely manner could be liable for a civil penalty of up to $5,000 and/or suspension from performing their official duties. See link to OGEC for more information, State of Oregon: Oregon Government Ethics Commission.
