Right of Way Vacation Notice - East of SW Tonquin Road
Project ID:
TBD
Private Development
Project Status:
Under Review
The City Council of the City of Sherwood will hear and consider objections to the matter of a proposed right-of-way vacation, located east of SW Tonquin Road approximately 300 feet south of the SW Tonquin Road/SW Oregon Street intersection and extending eastward approximately 1200 feet to its terminus, in Washington County, Oregon. The hearing will be at 7:00 PM on May 7, 2024 (First Reading) and May 21, 2024 (Second Reading if needed).
The petition for the right-of-way vacation was received by the City of Sherwood Engineering Department on March 2, 2023, from Glen Southerland of AKS Engineering and Forestry. Approval of the vacation request is being proposed by the Sherwood City Council, upon supporting recommendations from city staff.
The right-of-way to be vacated is identified in the exhibit posted below. A storm sewer and sanitary sewer easement over the western portion of the right-of-way will need to be dedicated either prior to or concurrent with the recording of the vacation. All franchise utilities will need to have been relocated out of the vacation area prior to the street vacation. This vacation only covers the existing dedications for this unnamed road and does not vacate the newly dedicated right-of-way associated with SW Commerce Court.
