SUMMARY:Mystery Monday Book Group
DESCRIPTION:Happiness Falls\nby Angie Kim \n“We didn’t call the police right away.” Those are the electric first words of this extraordinary novel about a biracial Korean American family in Virginia whose lives are upended when their beloved father and husband goes missing. \nWhen Mia’s brother runs through the front door bloody\, alone\, and late after a walk with their father\, it becomes clear that the father in this tight-knit family is missing and the only witness is Eugene\, who has the rare genetic condition Angelman syndrome and cannot speak. What follows is an story of a family searching for answers and they search for understanding of each other.\n(Penguin Random House) \n  \nThe Mystery Monday Book Group meets the 1st Monday of each month at 4pm. There are some books reserved for checkout behind the front desk of the Sherwood Library as well as available for purchase at the Sherwood Bookstore.  Please click HERE for the full 2026 reading list.  \n
