SUMMARY:Trashpalooza! Earth Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT.\n  \nCelebrate Earth Day with SOLVE and the City of Sherwood.  Oregon Spring Cleanup  (Trashpalooza! Sherwood) will be Saturday\, April 18\, 2026.  Meet at Cannery Square at 10:00am\, each group will be given a predetermined area\, go out and clean your designated area\, then come back to Cannery Square at 11:30am for festivities. \nWe will have contests (strangest piece of trash\, largest piece of trash\, etc)\, prizes and a raffle at the end. Join us as we celebrate over 50 years of Earth Day by joining small\, neighborhood and individual efforts to improve the environment this spring!  Family friendly!  All ages are welcome. \n⇒This is a great opportunity for business\, service clubs\, any groups interested in serving together for some team bonding.⇐ \nWhy we care \nTogether\, with volunteers and partners across Oregon and around the world\, we can reduce the harmful impacts of litter and invasive plants to keep our communities and natural environments healthy. Litter and invasive plants are harmful to wildlife\, water quality\, and human health. \n\nPlastics are found inside the bodies of almost every animal species studied so far. By picking up the plastic upstream\, our oceans and animals will collect less plastic.\nInvasive plants are considered a greater threat to native biodiversity than pollution\, harvest\, and disease combined. By removing invasive plants\, we give our native plants and wildlife a chance to thrive.\n\n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT.
