The Sherwood Urban Renewal Agency purchased the building at 22832 SW Washington Street in 2008 as a part of the overall Cannery Project. The Agency plans to redevelop the building which is the last remaining building of the former cannery, into a flexible use community center with some retail space. The Agency hopes to begin construction in December 2011. A Cannery Square site plan and architectural renderings have been developed and are posted to the right.
