Residential Washing Machine Rebate

Paying You to Make Water-Efficient Choices
Save Water, Energy and Money

Energy efficient washers use more than 35% less water and 55% less water electricity than standard machines.
A typical household does nearly 400 loads of laundry per year, using about 40 gallons of water for a full load with a conventional washer. In contrast, a full-size energy efficient clothes washer uses 20-25 gallons per load. You could save as much as 7,000 gallons of water each year. Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must live in a single-family residence within the City of Sherwood, including a house, condominium, duplex/multiplex or manufactured home.

  • The person applying for the rebate must have a current City of Sherwood water account in their name. If the applicant does not have a current City of Sherwood water account, the applicant must be the owner of the residence within the City as verified by City of Sherwood.

  • Applications must include a copy of the proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt or purchase invoice that specifies the washing machine and date.

  • Rebates are for new washing machines only. Pre-existing washing machines are not eligible.
Prior to approval, an on-site inspection may be required by City of Sherwood.

  • The total rebate per item will not exceed the receipt amount.

  • The application must be received within 6 months of purchase.

NOTE: Rebates are given on a first-come first-served basis until rebate funds are distributed.
