The City of Sherwood Police Department's Reserve Police Officer Program is composed of volunteers who give their time to the community and city by performing certain law enforcement duties.

Reserve Recruit's will attend a Reserve Police Academy. During the academy, Reserve Recruit's will receive police training such as criminal law, firearms, police vehicle operation, defensive tactics etc. After completing the Reserve Police Academy, the Reserve Officer may ride with a full-time Police Officer conducting patrol duties.Reserve Officer's also take part in various community events throughout the state.

Reserve Officer's are dedicated to providing the department and community with a high level of professional service.
