The City of Sherwood Police Department is responsible for investigating criminal behavior that occurs in the community. To accomplish this, the police department has two specially trained investigators, called “Detectives”, that conduct follow-up investigations on such things as death investigations like suicides and homicides, sexual offenses like rape, robberies and assaults, all child abuse cases and some lesser crimes like burglaries and thefts.
The Investigations Unit also participates on the county Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) Team and assists with drug investigations on both a local and regional level..
