Area 59 Reimbursement District
In 2008, the Sherwood School District (SSD) submitted an application to form a reimbursement district for the public improvements constructed in Area 59 (known now as Edy Ridge Elementary and Laurel Ridge Middle Schools) which the City Council passed as Resolution 2008-011.
The District's right to reimbursement under the Area 59 Reimbursement District was currently due to end on March 4, 2018. On October 13, 2014, SSD submitted an application for a time extension of the district of up to five additional years, and the matter went before the City Council on November 18th, 2014 and was continued until December 16th, 2014, in which Council voted to extend the reimbursement district until March 4, 2023.
For more information, Resolution 2014-073 and documents from 2008 can be found below under "Supporting Documents". Should you have any questions, please contact Julia Hajduk, Community Development Director, at 503.625.4204.
